  • we are going to submit to I 485 is all ok? HELP!! :)

Well this is my story, I met my wife (she is American) over three years ago, and we stayed together in Colombia for two and a half years. In December we came to the US on vacation. I am currently on a tourist visa, and in February we decided to get married and stay here. We got married, and now we’re going to submit the papers for the green card. Basically, I have permission to be in the US through mid-June, so I’m still in the country 100% legally. This is the list of papers that we already have ready with the help of the forum and many other pages. We didn’t have any problems with any of them. So, my question is, is there anything missing, or does everything look ready to send? My other question is, if we send everything together, do we send two separate checks, or just one with the total?
    Thanks for your answers.
    This is the list:

Your lists look complete. Passports shouldn't require English translations, as all I have seen thus far (from about 20 countries) have English equivalents for most items on ID page of passport.

Do a cover page to list contents.

The I-130 should have one passport-style photo of each of you.

The I-485, I-765 and I-131 should have two passport-style photos of applicant.

Thanks a lot rayb!! The last thing I need to know is, should I send two separate checks, or just one with the total amount for both the I-130 and I-485? again thanks so much!!

One or two checks, makes no difference. I always use two checks, so it is easier to be logged in by USCIS, and individual fees for each procedure can be easily accounted for.

How did we miss that earlier. The original poster needs to include the I-864, 2013 Federal tax return copy, W2 or 1099-MISC copies, employment verification letter.
