Question about checks

Hey so I was just wondering if this would be fine. I made the 3 checks when I was submitting my AOS package. I made one for 985 one for 85 for the i485 and the biometric fee and one for 420 for the i130. Would that pose a problem. The reason I got two separate checks was cuz where I was getting the money order they said that they don't do checks for over a $1000 so since I know the biometric fee was 85 I did it that way. I mean the total on the checks is still 1070. Please advise. I am still wondering if they received my package. I am getting a little nervous. Cuz i didn't use an attorney.

You should be fine so long as they're written out to the Department of Homeland Security. I've had people separate checks before and the application was accepted. It can take anywhere from a couple of days to several weeks for USCIS to issue you a receipt for your I-485.
