  • VISA in passport after green card

Hello! I was just approved for my green card through marriage. I am wondering, what can I do with my VISA that is in my passport? I feel like it should be removed because I am no longer here on a VISA. Is this possible to have it removed?

Visa on passport is only use to enter U S port of entry .it doesn't matter if it is on passport or you remove it
after you get i 551 stamp on your passport.

This is my opinion and not legal advice.use of this information is strictly on your own risk.

No way to remove. It's an expired document. Still you might need it for some kind of reference one day.

Leave it in there. Removing a page from your passport might later be interpreted as an attempt to remove something that you don't wish to be seen by reviewers in the future.

Bit fussy aren't you? There are so many people awaiting GC decisions and you worry about an official page that's in your passport (for a reason).
Next you'll want pages of date stamps removed from holiday visits as you have since returned from holiday to that country and don't need them anymore.

Thank you for the feedback. I was just concerned that having a VISA in there would cause confusion in entering other countries because, on face value, it would appear that I overstayed the US VISA (due to no other stamps being in there). I am new to this so please excuse my ignorance.

Not to worry, enjoy your new found status as a resident. Your GC will supersede any visa that you may have held in the past
Remember anything official issued by any government body really should not be tampered with. It's easier to explain what you have than have to explain what you might have removed / destroyed.
              Good luck.
