So figured out what the issue was with my I-864..
I had reviewed my form umpteen times before sending off the package and corrected all my errors etc..
Little did I realise that on page 12 (Part 11) the name of the petitioner comes up for Q1a-c. As we had no additional information to send off with the form I "tidied up" the paperwork and deleted the name from this page. What I didn't realise is deleting it there also deletes it automatically from Part 4 on page 3 which is why I received the RFIE as it was submitted blank for that section.
I didn't realise that so my last minute tidy up before printing the final version of the form cost me.
This s more for people who are still preparing their paperwork so you don't make that same mistake!!
