Renew DL on I-485/130/ pending

Hi Guys
Here is my timeline.
Filed in Chicago

PD 5/6/16
Receipt date 5/12/16
Fingerprints notice 6/4/16
Fingerprints done 6/20/16

I wanted to know what is the next step now?
I don't know if the process is pretty fast or not but I am worried about getting pulled over because my license is expired since 6/30. I was on h1B then.

I am also gathering all the documents for interview.

I just hope that EAD card comes out by the end of this month so I can go renew my license Lord.

next step would be to get work permit then 2 months or so interview. some people are schedule for interview before getting the work permit.

im in the same boat as you. my diver license expired may 2016. i stop driving now because eveytime i see a police my heart skip a beat because the last thing i want to get arrested. i don't a have valid DL or insurance so that is double problems.

I am still driving. I have my passport and all the immigration documents with me though. Just so I can tell em look this is the situation and I am waiting. If they going to give me a ticket or arrest me so be it LOL I can't stay home and not drive ever. It would drive me crazy.

But I tell you this immigration process is way more stressful than coming to America. Lord have mercy!!!

I got an update on my case!
After reaching the 90th day, I called USCIS about my EAD the next day they updated my application to "on August 4th, we approved your application for Employment Authorization Card".
Today I received a 797 notice to tell me it was approved. Then I checked online again and it says "Your EAD was mailed to you" so I am hoping I can get it by the end of this week!
Been praying for this and God answered my prayers. Hopefully I can get my interview scheduled soon so I can get my Green Card.
