Hi, there! Im just wondering why I haven't receive any form of communication from USCIS as of yet. Some of my friends 2 weeks after biometrics they received their EAds, there is even one whom after 1 month and a week he got his I-485 approval. Maybe there is somebody out there who can relate to my situation.
    Here's my timeline
    USCIS received my I-765 and I-131 October 7,2016;
    I-485 October 19, 2016
Biometrics- November 7, 2016; but we went there a week earlier October 31, 2016
My son has to do his again because his turning 14 this January 2017 last December 21, 2016 to get an adult set of finger prints, again we went a week earlier which was last December 12, 2016.
    Since then haven't heard anything.

    A case from my experience:
    (1) I485, I131, I765 filed: Oct 4, 2016
    (2) Biometrics: Oct 26, 2016
    (3) EAD approved: Dec 30, 2016; Everything else still pending
    (4) Combo card recieved: Jan 7, 2017

Case being processed by Nebraska Service Center

So I would say file a service request. But other than that nothing to panic.
Just an opinion; Not legal advice.

      Thanks, scientist2016.
Mine is being process in the Texas Service Center. Just in case how do you go over the service request? I emailed my lawyer regarding the my case and he told me its very normal not to hear anything from USCIS and should expect the EAD approval January or Feb and GC before May. I was just wondering if my son's 2nd finger printing cause all the delay.

Yes, it is quite normal not to hear anything from USCIS. You can file a service request either by calling the customer service number (you will find this at the bottom of the I797C forms) or on the USCIS website (just google USCIS + service request).

          Aos

Hi everyone! I sent my AOS package on December 14th and USCIS office received it on December 17th. Last week, they sent our pictures (proof of our relationship) back since they wouldn't fit in the folder. Since then, I ve been waiting for NOA. They haven't cashed money gram yet. Is it normal because I'm really worried 😞

A service request is a request for looking into a case (like for instance EAD), when the request is beyond normal processing time. For e.g., if the EAD request has been pending for more than 75 days, you can put in a service request, and it will be assigned to a case officer, who will look into what the delay is, etc. When you call the customer service number, they can help you put in a service request, and the same will be reflected in your USCIS case status page, and you can track it like you would track a case.

They sent me a letter and said that the photo album didn't fit in the folder. So, they sent our pictures back

you should have printed the pictures in word page rather than sending the photo album. It;s okay I think, Nothing to be scared of. Maybe the photo album is too big to fit into their folder , that;s why they sent them back

You don;t need to. It's just like evidences to show that your marriage is done in good faith. If you want to send pictures, just print in word document. Don't send photo album.

                            Question about I-864; just sent I-130 & I-485

Hello there! I am new to the forum, and looking for help.

I am an American citizen by birth and my wife is here on a TN-Visa.
Yesterday, January 20, 2017, we sent our I-130, I-485 and G-325a x2; along with supporting documents, all the fees, and even the medical examination!

We did not however send in a I-864. Were we supposed to send that in our packet?

What are the next steps? Its so confusing and we are nervous!

                            Thanks!

If you file an I-485, you need to file an I-864. You will get a "Request for Initial Evidence" mail. Just prepare your document now, wait for the letter to arrive and reply to it.

You can see here, https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/...i-485instr.pdf > under "Initial Evidence" > Item number 9 (Affidavit of Support)
