  • I485 bounce checks after biometric appointment

    Hi everyone,

So the thing is my husband filled forms I485, I130, I765 for me on 12/16/16 and received our receipts notices on 12/29. I then later went in for my biometric appointment approximately a month later on 01/17/17. However, on 02/02 USCIS sent me a notice saying my case is suspended insufficient funds and requested for correction amount, which I did send them. On 02/13 I got emails saying that our payment was received and that they also had made changes to the form I485 and they're gonna send us letter showing how they'll process my case.

Does that mean my priority date will change since my checks bounce? If anyone has been in this situation before, can you tell me if you had to have your finger prints taken again the second time. Or does anyone know what will happen next and what should we be prepared for? I'm just really afraid they're gonna send us letters requesting evidences or worse is our case is rejected

Also, I've heard a lot of you guys saying EAD/AP card will arrive within 90 days from initial submission date. But in my case, will i have to wait another 3 months from the corrected payment date which is on 02/13?

    God Helps...

Can i tell you one thing?
Please dont worry yourself. Just pray you get the favor of Man and God.
Dont be surprised you are getting your EAD soon. Believe only God does things at the right time

Bounced checks are quite frequent with DHS procedures. If you paid the bill from DHS to cover the check, your processing will just continue as normal.
