    • Interview scheduled!

      Sharing a good news!

I got interview notice today in the mailbox. FINALLY!!! Notice date stated as Aug 29th. I did rise SR for my EAD and AP combo card but I don't know if that related or not. SR status updated to response sent to me on the Aug 30th. I didn't get SR response yet but get the interview notice instead. I really not sure if the interview notice is the response of SR or not. Anyway here is a good new for May filter.

Filing from Chicago send to Chicago box. National Benefit Center.
      May-10 PD
      June-7 Bio done
      June-9 REF respnonse delivered
      Aug-1 1st SR
      Aug-23 2nd SR
Aug-24 1st SR assigned to an officer for review
Aug-30 Both SR status changed to Response sent to me
Sep-5 Interview Notice received in mail. Notive date is Aug 29. Interview scheduled on Oct 3rd.

No update of EAD or AP yet. The online status still shows as application received. No update since May 10 (application received) and June 9 (RFE received). So keep your hope as the mail update might comes faster than the online update.

      Good luck for all!!

        • My original PD it's May 09
We received a RFE on June 29
Sept 06 they received my response
The email said that there going to start working on my case again.
does that mean that my PD it's going to change or it stays the same ?

I'm really hoping for no more RFE.

Based on other posts with the same situation, I believe if you want to submit a case inquiry, the date you should go off of is the RFE date. Not sure if it is the RFE received by you or RFE received by USCIS but my guess is the latter.

Expedite request means that he urgently needs the case to move forward fast due to a job offer, financial problem or any other good reason. This lets USCIS know that the case needs to be processed faster. Now you have to have a good reason, say a job offer is expiring and you really need that EAD or because you do not have the EAD, you are financially disabled and can't afford to pay for car or house or what have you.

                      • Concurrent Application i-130,i-485,i-765 &i-693 from Virginia.

Hi everyone, i am from Virginia. Actually I 'm new to this thread. You guys are so awesome. I ' m following the discussions and they are so wonderful. Let's keep encouraging and updating each other. Well ,this is my case. My spouse submitted my application as one package in August 18 to Norfolk and just have it returned to me after one week saying the application has not been accepted for processing as some discrepancies were identified when screening my application. I submitted Forms i-130, i-485,i-765, i-693 together. I enclosed four (4)money orders totalling $2170. The officer enclosed a notice saying the processing fee i submitted is incorrect.,that i did not submit an application with my payment. 2. That i must appear in person with 2 passport photos in their office for Form i-90(Application to Replace Alien Registration Card) with processing fee. I have never got an alien registration card before.3. That I should file with the CIS service center having jurisdiction over my residence. Please what is the exact payment amounts??? Also kindly advise on the way forward. Thanks.

This is a mistake made so many times but folks, this is an important and serious process, so please read the instructions for each application. Tee form you are missing is I-130A and if you want to travel outside of the country, I-131. Also you are missing I-864. I also would advise G-1145 which allows you to get notifications via e-mail and text.

                          Now for the fees:

                          I-485 with biometrics is $1,140 + $85 = $1,225
                          I-130 is $535

Update* What I would recommend is really read those instructions because the prices may change.

Write two checks or money orders (checks are better because you have a quicker way to see when they deposit the checks).

As for the other stuff, not sure. Could you explain more about your case? Did you overstay your visa, are you currently on a visa?

Thanks Walbrzyszanka21. I appreciate your kind advise. You quoted the fees correctly but you didn't include $410( EAD) or am I not supposed to pay it? Any waiver on employment authorization document fee? In answer to your questions,I had B-2 visa, though now expired. But my spouse is an American citizen.

No, you do not need to pay for I-765 since that and I-131 are already included in the fee for I-485. I also overstayed my B2 visa. Came here in 2001 and this year I married my husband. I am not sure about the I-90 form or the in person thing. Hope someone else can help you with that.

Okay thanks a lot. I appreciate it so much. I will look for someone in the forum with an idea of what the I- 90 form is all about. It's difficult for me to understand since I never had an alien registration card in the first place. So talking about replacing an expired ARC is strange.
