    Upcoming Interview

So my interview is this Wednesday and I am getting a little nervous. I have already prepared the documents with my husband. I am going to include the following documents:

    - the interview
    - copy of I-693 (I sent the sealed envelope with the rest of my forms
    - my husband's 2016 taxes, W-2, pay stubs and letter from employer
    - my 2016 taxes, W-2, pay stubs and letter from employer
    - the rest of the forms we sent
    - my DACA paperwork and the three EAD's I received (including the one I got last month with the AP)
    - my husband's birth certificate and American passport, SS card, ID
    - my birth certificate with translation (2012) and my current Polish passport, SS card and ID
    - my old passport with the Visa and the I-94
    - marriage certificate
    - our joint account bank statements
    - our credit card statement (I only used it once)
    - our joint credit card for when we bought him a computer
    - auto insurance
    - concert ticket
    - flight tickets (my husband threw his out but I am going to ask him to find the flight verification for the flight since he purchased the tickets)
    - hotel stay confirmations (Vegas, TN and FL)
    - VW phone bills
    - photos (between 30-50)
    - wedding and birthday cards (from his parents and my family)
    - letter from life insurance stating that he is my beneficiary

I want to also include present receipts but I think it is hard to prove that I bought him a gaming mouse haha

Also I got him iFly tickets and he got his certificate and I have photos so maybe that.

Anything else? We live with his parents right now but next year, we are definitely renting or buying.

On the other hand, my I-485 still says "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" it's been like that since September 18th..... Anyone have the same situation?

i also have the same status since July 12th that case is ready for an interview but no good as of now

SR about I-765 taking too long

    Hi everyone!

So my PD is June 29th
Haven't had any updates about my work authorization since we submitted the application. I submitted an online inquiry about status of my EAD on October 25th.

    Case history states now:

Oct 25th inquiry been assigned to an officer for response
Oct25th we SENT a response to your inquiry about the status of your EAD
Oct 25th your inquiry was complete

Does this mean they sent an actual EAD? The status of my i765 still says they received the application... It's been 5 days since I submitted the inquiry. Anyone had the same experience? Any suggestions on what to do next?

No change in status for my I-485

My priority date is june 13,2017
since July 20 it is showing that the case is ready for an interview but no further notice.

I am worried that I am travelling in Dec mid till feb, what if I get a notice while I wasn't in US.

Can I expedite my I-485. I can see even July filers have got interview notice
I am not getting interview notice

Good luck!

Thanks for the info! Patiently waiting for the card in the mail & interview date but it looks like things are finally starting to move for everyone. Best of luck!

Having said, should I still go to the congressman’s office or just wait for the actual mail? How accurate is the online status update? Helpppp.

    Card in production

I just got approved! Received an email stating card in production. Didn't expect it today. Good luck to you all!

I guess he needs to review afterwards. I didn't get approval on the spot. Hopefully there's no need to wait for too long.

The interview appointment is 10:00 but we probably waited until 10:40 to get called.

    Questions I can remember:

    1. To me: husband's dob, where he work, last job, how long has he been in this job, last job. in-laws names, ages.
    2. To him: wife's dob, where she work, last job, when did she come to the US, in-laws names, ages.
    3. How we met each other. How did the relationship progress. When did we decide to get married. Have we traveled together and where. And some other questions along the conversation.
    4. Joint documents together. Showed pictures etc to the officer.
    5. A checklist of yes/no questions for me to answer.

All questions are not tricky, but my husband doesnt remember how long I worked at last job and doesn't know my parents names and ages.. I think it's not a big deal though. It is difficult for him to remember even if he tries to. We didn't prepare anything and we presented to be super honest and not prepared. Lol. But it is what it is. The officer didn't ask for my husband's pay stub and letter from employer as requested on the interview notice, so I didn't voluntarily give it to him. We always prefer to give the minimum sufficient information.

    Here's my timeline for reference:

    Married to USC
    AOS from F1
    Base in California
Mail to Chicago lockbox (i130, i485, i765 etc)

5/31/17 mailed out all documents (except 693)
6/5/17: PD date (printed on the notification sent to us)
    6/11/17 receive e-notification (3 case numbers)
    6/18/17: biometrics notification
    6/23/17 RFIE
    7/3/17: Biometrics done
7/05/17: RFIE response mailed (about my birth certificate)
7/11/17: notice about i693 missing, but submission is required upon further instructions or at interview
9/18/17: i485 online status change: interview scheduled on October 19
10/5/17: EAD approved (Also submitted SR this day without any info about the approval)
10/10/17: Received in mail about EAD being approved (no e-notification)
10/12/17: Received EAD card in mail (still no e-notification)
10/17/17: i765 online status change telling me the EAD card has been mailed!! (I have already had EAD)
    10/19/17: interview day
