I-485 is this normal wait for interview?

Hi,

I applied for a GC for my wife under F2A category. Her priority is current, I-485 is being processed (filed November 2016) and we are waiting for our interview. She received her EAD with AP in January 2017.

Since February 2017, our case status reads as follows:

As of February 16, 2017, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number **** **** ***, for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Is this normal wait time or should we do something about it?

sounds like any slow field office normal. it'd help if you said where you're filing from but for some field offices 9-10 month wait is not unusual. im from ny and filed on nov 2016 still waiting for interview. hopefully in a month.

Hi there,

The waiting period can be taxing, I am not sure which location have you applied from and to where. My GC filed papers were directed to Baltimore, MD. My wait period from being scheduled for an interview to getting a status update of interview date schedule for.... was 1 month.

So hopefully you will hear from them soon, but it is not unusual for 6-9 months wait period. So keep your spirits up and know that it will happen.

Thanks for your replies.

It's filed in the Missouri Service Center (MSC) in Lee's Summit, Missouri. I couldn't see any I-485 processing times for MSC when I looked up on the website. Any ideas for MSC?
