Not sure if it helped but the day that the office assigned my case to someone, I received my interview notice and that was 10/10. My PD is 6/6 for I-485. I received my EAD and AP 10/17. Sometimes being too proactive can make things worse since there are thousands of people who are waiting just like you are. Also, keep in mind that people from 2016 and even 2015 haven't gotten an update, so be patient.
I know where you are at. I have been there. Frustrated and inpatient. But in the end, it worked out. For some the process goes by fast and for others it goes by very slow.

I am thinking perhaps I am not proactive enough, as people expedite and contact congressmen to help them fasten their applications. Do I need to wait 90 days before contacting congressman, or I can go ahead as at 80 days of pending.

Oh. I called and level 2 ask me to wait till end of the month. Of course I was being careful of expediting it cos I don't have any proof of employment. I am hopeful I should get a positive news before the end of the month.
