OPT while waiting for EAD and interview?

Hi everyone!

I have my I-485 AoS application in process. I attended the biometric appointment already and waiting for the EAD card and interview. I am also going to graduate at the end of Fall 2017. So I am wondering if it is better for me to apply for OPT or not? Because to apply for OPT, I need to file I-765 form with ~$495 fee. Additionally, having 2 I-765 forms at the same time seems weird.

I say, Wait to get your EAD it will save you money.
If you apply your EAD will be coming at the same time and it's free. So I don't see a reason to apply for opt.
