My husband was ALWAYS here legally and followed all of the rules. But people like you who are here illegally delay his petition. Why should he have to wait when he did everything right?

But we don?t really feel that way about you or anyone else. In the end, everyone just wants to work and have a better life. If I?m frustrated with anyone, it?s the feds. They passed legislation but didn?t fund for additional workers that would be required to handle the increased petitions. I came here with a H2A visa ma?am,and I earned my pass by working hard in the farms,jobs like you husband will never do or Americans for that matter,My case,u visa,was delayed for more than three years,it?s almost four years since I?ve been on that waiting,visa u and adjustment of status combined,so you want to tell me what? You have no idea how it is to live with fear,unlike your husband of my petition isn?t accepted I?m returning to Mexico because I?ve done all my efforts to earn a place in this country;I willrespect the law, and if I over stayed my work visa is because I want to be part of this great nation,serve in the military even if it cost my life,I really doubt there are lots of immigrants that are willing to do that,America need givers not takers,and with all due respect I didn?t delay nobody?s petition if I worked hard for it.

You absolutely have some valid points. However...you are here ILLEGALLY for over 11 years.
You just said you had the opportunity previously to apply for a greencard but you choose not to.
That's your own choice and tha'ts fine, but don't start complaining now about DACA etc and how that is delaying your application.
If you had applied previously you wouldn't have this problem .

And honestly why on earth are you complaining about a group of people, why you are here illegally for 11+ years.
In my personal opinion you are part of the problem.

The entire reference bout dying for this country etc doesn't sit well with me either. I can tell you have never served your country( this isn't your country yet) and before you start, yes I am actually currently serving and on this for because we(my spouse and I) are applying too. However she isnt here illegal.
Again, I really hope everything will work out for you and that this entire process goes smooth and fast. But don't rant/complain about DACA when you're here illegal 11+ years.

Stay calm my fellow immigrant. It doesn't do good spewing HATE on this forum. A lot of these DACA people you speak so much about to keep their status in the US had to maintain a good criminal record and pay a fee for their status just like everybody else. I have friends here that came here at a tender age because of the will of their parents and you know what one is about to get licensed as an Attorney and the next one is on his way to be a medical doctor. You can't go around making careless comments because there is a setback with your case. Your issue is not unusual and even before this DACA crisis, people were waiting for a long time for their work permit and even green card. In the last couple years of the Obama administration things had sped up with the USCIS but before that the wait was just as long. If you doubt what i'm saying just check on other forums that go back to the early 2000s for example **** **** ***. Instead of blaming others, pray for God to help you during this time....nothing lasts forever but the good salvation of the Lord.

I know it's unfair that you're waiting for so long but all I can say is Nothing beats a prayer! And take comfort in that everything really does happen for a reason. Obstacles build character and they're just there for you to overcome. So keep praying it will happen!

I really appreciate your words,and I apologize if I offended someone,but am I true believer and after all these years I feel very grateful to this land that has given me freedom and a second chance,honestly if a person don?t feel love for this country I truly believe such individual shouldn?t be applying for adjusting of status or citizenship,my loyalty is to this country and willing to bleed and die for it,how many people on here would choose that to earn their place here? Veterans that bled and almost die ,for you to walk in the streets safe,not getting the help they really need,if you intend to become American citizen you should prove your loyalty to this country,if not,I?ll call you hypocrite.I do believe that many kids that were brought here when kids deserve a chance,we all do,but only the ones that are not takers;sadly lots of people live on welfare in their home countries and think is ok to come here and do the same.My parents raised me to be self-sufficient,I grew up seeing both of my parents work hard to feed us,never needed anything from anybody,that?s how it should be,you want kids? Provide for them! Don?t excpect Medicaid and WIC do it for you.

I find this offensive. I get that you're frustrated, this is a frustrating process but perhaps the blame should be placed onto the systems that create the backlogs. The fact there isnt enough staff to process? I don't know, but it doesn't strike me as fair to blame those who are equally entitled to apply as you are and who have probably waited longer. Whether they 'jumped the fence' or were brought here as babies or whatever, they're entitled. What majes you think that you are more deserving? Instead of sounding off about how unfair it is that you're having to wait a bit longer perhaps have some compassion and understanding. I'll happily wait longer if it means people who have been here and paid into the system for years and served in the military etc can remain.

I did work hard for my place here unlike many people that just got off a plane and went to do an easy job,I busted my back,under high temperatures,in the lemon and oranges fields,tobacco,and tomato ones;jobs that only not many men would do how many dreamers would be willing to do? It?s easier to enjoy the free ride isn?t? WIC? even when I had rough times financially I did choose to work for food,I didn?t ask Uncle Sam anything unlike other people that love to get stuff for free.i do help my community by volunteering as translator,I also volunteer at Salvation Army and the VFD;I?ve seen people that can afford more than food and still get all the aid they can get,it?s free how sweet is that? I?ve lived in the states almost 11 years and I?ve tried hard to join the military,you name the branches I spoke to every single recruiter.Im currently attending college sponsored by my boss,whom I?ve worked for 7 years,he said I earned it for being loyal and working hard,he?s got connections and papers weren?t needed,I?m also a parent and husband and I got a dream,so that word would fit more for many others immigrants out there that are givers and not takers,that are wishing to earn their place here by doing something and not being big mouths.

This is basically what my lawyers office was told when they called last week for the same thing. She said they said they are unusually backlogged but they had everything.

Did they say how long it could take?

124 days and counting 👎 like I said ?dreamers? have backlogged all our cases,we all dreamers not only them,I?ve waited 4 years to get a chance to become legal,10 years living in the states and they?re giving priority to some people that just jump the fence? That?s BS folks,I did work in the farms doing stuff that very few are willing to do,it?s unbelievable

I know it's really frustrating, they need to come up with a better way of doing things tho. Now they saying we could be waiting for 6mths...smh
