AP Received: 12/18/17
Notice for Interview: 01/31/18
Interview: 03/07/18
Interview:
We came in at 8.45 - The interview was supposed to be at 9.00 am at 300 N Los Angeles Ave. In Los Angeles. We waited and at 9.45 we were called by the lady who was interviewing us.
- My husband and I sat down after she make us swear to tell the truth.
- She asked for passports and birth certificates.
- Then she asked where we met - we said we met in gradschool - and she started to ask more and more about what we did. Since we studied business and design, she didn't quite understand what we did. She asked more about it and asked what we did.
- I showed her the yearbook of my gradschool class - she was confused of what our major was so she kept asking.
- Then she asked for evidence of assets or liabilities that we had together. We said we just had our apartment and a bank account. At that point we were pretty nervous because she kept asking "Don't you have a car?, Don't you have anything else together?
- Then she saw our big photo album I put together and started to say "You are very creative and this memories are amazing!" but she asked me why I had not done one of my wedding yet, and I said I was still thinking about the format - We showed her 3 pictures of the wedding and the invitation for our big family celebration in June.
- Then she asked if I belonged to any clubs, and I said I was a donor for a nonprofit and she made me write the details on a form.
- Afterwards she asked my husband more about his job and started to go on about how bad the world is, and there needs to be change for good. Then she said she was happy we were creating a good life together and crossed APPROVED on the form (she didn't say it) I asked her for the next steps - she answered "you'll get your card from 3 to 4 weeks. I wish you a happy life"
It lasted about 40 minutes, but we were very chatty on contrair to what lawyers advised us - but it felt very natural and we just said the truth and were ourselves.
I can say she seemed a very opinionated person who didin't like certain type of people - because of some comments she made. She also didin't understand our careers very well.
We are very happy, and I am available to give advice no anybody who needs it. Our application had a lot of things to make it more appealing. If anybody needs any help let me know.
Also, I've come to see every case, every state and city has very different process! BE PATIENT! you'll get there.
My best to this amazing forum and good luck.

Here in dallas, those who submitted around April have not even gone for their interview. So I?ve just closed my mind on it.

This is not normal. But it also depends on center working on your case. I realized most people from the Missouri center with MSC beginning their case numbers have received their EAD. I for instance got my EAD in January and my PD was October.
I hope u get it soon.

GC without interview?
