ATL filer! Interview scheduled! How long after appointment can you leave country?

Filed my husbands i130 & i485 Jan 5, 2017. Just received interview date on October 26 for an interview on November 28. If we get approved on the spot that day, does that mean we can automatically go to Mexico or do we have to wait so long after the interview?! We are wanting to go visit his grandparents the first or 2nd week of Decenber.

As soon as his green card is in hand or if possible you can ask for i-551 stamp in passport.
