  • One question about re-entering into US with AP

    Hi folks,

I only need to show EAD/AP card to customs, right? No other immigration documents needed, right?

Thank you have a nice day!
    PD: 08/30/2017

11/14/2017, I-765 status was changed to "New card is being produced".
11/16/2017, I-765 status was changed to "Card was Mailed To Me".
11/18/2017, Approval notices were received in mail for I-765 and 1-131. they would be valid for one year.
    11/20/2017, Combo card was delivered.
    09/06/2018, EAD renewal was received.
    09/17/2018, Fingerprint Review was completed.

And passport. Nothing else is needed, but it would be best to have the I-485 receipt on hand too.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

Thank you. I guess I won't be able to get the receipt. I think I should be fine.

You mean you left the receipt at home? Do you have the case number at least?

            Update

I came back to US with AP last night without any issues. You will need to wait in the interview room for like 15 mins then i was ready to go, no questions. A "PAROLED" stamp will be shown on your passport.

Does one need to show AP(131) document when entering even with a valid 10 year VISA?

Do not mean to hijack this thread, but I wanted to ask a question on Advance Parole regarding my mother. My mother (Indian citizen) is here since Oct 2016 on Visitor VISA. We applied for green card for her in 2017 March. Appl for 130/485/131 were sent to Chicago and got the Advance Parole back in June 2017. She made a trip in November to India for 3 weeks and on her return, she forgot to show the Advance Parole document she was carrying with her. She was not asked about it. So her passport is stamped for 6 months, just like a person entering on Visitor visa. She does not have a paroled stamp on her passport. My question to experts here is - will this affect her pending application for green card? Hopefully they will not consider her to have abandoned her application for adjustment of status...that is what I wanted to find out. Thanks

She should try to get CBP to correct it
