  • Concurrent filing of 485/130/130a/765/864/1145

My wife and I are in the process of sending out her packet. I just wanted to get help with a few questions.

    We are filing the I-130/I-130a/I-485/I-765/I-864/I-1145

We will include the money order for $1,140 for the I-485. $535 for the I-130. Is the $85 bio-metric fee required now or later?

On the I-485, I-130a, and the I-765 were my wife is filling out the forms as the beneficiary. Her and I have filled out the form together, but she isn't fluent in English, and I am not fluent enough in Spanish for me to be the interpreter. I did of course explain everything to her but I am not confident as putting me down as the interpreter. What is the best way for the forms? Should I be the preparer or should we get a friend who is fluent in both languages to be the interpreter?

    Thank you.

You should have one check for $535 for I-130 and one check for $1225 for I-485. (Personal check is preferable to money order because you know when it is cashed.)

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

Thanks for that info, I will do that.

Anyone have input on the question about interpreter vs preparer?

      Thank you.
