  • Advice Please :)

    Hi all

My online status as of today is showing 'Ready to be scheduled for an interview'.

I am yet to get any Info on my EAD. Is it normal for it to happen in that order? Everyone else seems to be getting EAD approval.

I am on Day 100 filing from NY.

Look at Walbrzyszanka21 posts. She got her interview before her EAD/AP approval notices. Based on this forum and others, I think your situation isn't unusual. They might be skipping the EAD and going straight to the interview. But idk, that's just what i've seen.

Your case can remain on the "Ready to be scheduled for an interview" for an extended period of time and does not mean you are going to receive an interview within a specified period of time. Having said that, you may receive your interview notice before you hear anything about your EAD, but the reverse is also true and you may well receive an update on your EAD before you receive your interview notice.

I filed in January last year and received my EAD approval the day before I received my interview notice. My EAD approval came on day 106 (from PD) and interview notice on day 107 for an interview just over a month later (day 141). I had my physical EAD card for a grand total of 36 days before I received my 10 years green card in my hand.
