Lost i-130 approval

hi i filed i-130 a long time (1992) and my date become current and i recently filed i-485 and it all went smooth and following the interview my lawyer recieved a call saying that they need an approval letter of my i-130. i cant find this anywhere.

i have a NOA of my i-130 with my eac number but apparently that isnt sufficent. they have given me 30 days to get a hold of the letter.

i was given an ead after my lawyer mailed a letter with attached the copy of my i-130 NOA when MSC office requested it.

can someone please tell me if a government agency keeps a copy of i-130 filings. I am Indian and I can get somebody to pick up the letter if an agency in India keeps it. Is there any alternative that they will accept besides the approval letter? Someone please help

I believe you can do a FOIA request and get all the docs in your file.........however its takes quite a looong time. I would make an infoapss appt and go into a CIS offcie and see what could be done
