I have read that the background check is a bottleneck in the process; so if you accelerate that by getting biometrics done early, it can move things ahead. Ultimately it?s only a few days. I had a chance to do a walk-in and they let me do the fingerprints about 10 days early

I have also filed for AOS in February. Awesome to have a group to share the wait/anxiousness with
I filed i-130 in March 2016 and have a PD of 05/2016 -- Not sure if my PD will be that one still, i am hoping it will because i need my EAD ASAP.
I am married to a USC, 5 year now and we have 2 kids also USC - one born abroad and one here. I am on F1-OPT, but will expire in July. I am filing without a lawyer, we did the same with i-130 and we didn't have issues so hoping for that too.
Here is my timeline:
02/23 --> Mailed packaged
02/26 --> Package received
03/02--> My debit card was charged ( hope this means i'll get case numbers soon!)
Filing from: Seattle,WA
I'll post updates as they come.

Has your status changed after your biometric appointment or does it still show Fingerprint Fees was received?
Also, did you submit 2017 tax returns? If not, then have you received RFE? The updated status won't be reflected here: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do
Create your account on https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ and check the latest update. The first site takes forever to update. Sometimes they don't even make the update.

waiting PD 2/07
I had my bio done on 03/05, case is at MSC category C09 PD 02/07, status has not changed at https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/
we didn't file the 2017 tax returns cause my husband was waiting for a form from work and just filed this week, we haven't received an RFE for that.
the last thing we received was 03/12, courtesy letter on yellow paper stating we didnt file I-693 and we dont need to mail it, just need to wait for an Interview appointment or an RFE requesting this.

published processing times
Im not sure if you guys know but you can check estimated processing times of the office your EAD was assigned to on this website: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-ti...me#mainContent
National Benefits Center is currently at 2.5-5 months for I-765 based on I-485
i know this doesn't make the wait any less frustrating but thought this was useful info
