oh thats good. its a progress. I did my biometrics last March 21 and the status of my cases didnt change from case received.

If you don't mind me asking, what is the my applicant portal? Is that on the USCIS site?

02/16/18: Docs received at Chicago Lockbox
03/02/18: Checks Cashed
03/08/18: Called USCIS with A-Number and received Receipts number for I 131, I 485, I 764. I 131 was rejected because there was no fees attached for I 131.
03/12/18: I 797/NOA received in emails
03/15/17: Biometrics appointment letter received for 03/28/18
03/17/18: Online status for I 485 changed to RFE
03/25/18: I 131 application sent stating that there's no fees for I 131 as per USCIS guidelines. This time they accepted it.
03/26/18: I 131 application recived at Chicago lockbox
03/26/18: RFE received for I 485 (Reason provide dwas that the application was signed more than a year before I 485 was filed. It was funny how they couldn't understand it the signature date as the pen stoppes working while writing "8" in 2018 and USCIS took it as "2010" as the upper part of "8" wasn't visible completely).
03/28/18: Biometrics appointment done
04/02/18: I 797/ NOA received for I 131

My PD is 01/22. The online status shows for I 131. I 765 and I 130 is "We received your case. Read the notice we mailed you for more information about how we will process your case". I 485 status shows "We need more information from you. We sent you a Request for Evidence (RFE)". I will be resubmitting my I 485 again by end of this week.

I think the status change is good. I won't take that as a sign of them seeking RFE.

I got my biometric done on 3/27 and mine still says "We received your biometrics fee and are reviewing your case"

Hello guys, I have seen one or two people talk about early walk in for the biometrics appointment. Is it possible to go on a date that is different from the day scheduled by the USCIS? And how do you go about that?

I walked in a week early and told them I was not available on the date on the notice. And then they let me wait until all other people who have appointments that day finished. The whole process is about 1 hour. ( waiting and actually doing fingerprints).

I had the same problem. i changed my browser from Chrome to IE and then to Firefox and then it stared working.

You just take all the documents needed (the letter, passport) and show up on an earlier date. I told the security guy I was doing an early walk-in and he said ?that?s fine?. Check Yelp/Google Maps or other forums to see if other people have had luck with walk-ins at your local biometrics center.

Biometrics Done - 3/27 ( Pretty straightforward process. They take your fingerprints and a picture. I spent total of 15 minutes at the center)
