Houston is actually the slowest office (or so) in US. You can check by yourself through this website. https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

Some people would suggest you to move (if possible) in another states where the process is way faster (if you need it to be fast).

Should I follow the processing time of the Service Center or Field Office? E.g Texas Service Center is 9-11.5 months. But New York field office is 12-19.5 months.

Courtesy letter

We just come back from the biometrics .
All smooth, it took longer to enter the place then the actual appointment! 5 minutes the process plus 10 or 15 to pass the safety check point.
Now, wait!

Got the courtesy letter for the I-693! But only mine, don?t know why.

Is there anyone here from Houston ? I feel like the process of other cities/states is way faster than Houston a lot TT_TT.

I am from Houston as well, I was late in getting the knowledge about the process, or else either I would have moved or at least hired a lawyer outside the state of Texas, done something at the least. But anyways whats done is done, now I am just waiting for my EAD, and hoping at least that gets to me faster if not the interview.

04/04/2018: Biometrics appointment
04/12/2018: 1st Expedite AP - rejected
04/17/2018: 2nd Expedite AP
04/18/2018: Scheduling interview
05/02/2018: Producing new card for my I-765, got a notification my I-131 appeal was dismissed (system glitch, because I never really appeal anything)
05/07/2018: Tracking number received for my I765 and I131 card - will receive on Wednesday based on USPS website (05/09/2018)
Today, 05/07/2018: Approval notice arrived in the mail for I765 and I131

Pretty fast case, that's great! SAn Jose is one of the fastest office so I would not be surprised if you receive the Interview notice within May.

Hi all, again thanks to UScitizenfilingforspouse, I received the notification from case tracker app while holding my phone yesterday to notify me 'Employment-base interview was scheduled'. However, my husband married me (USC) in Feb 2018 and we filed Marriage-based AOS. Can someone help me figure out what is going on here and how I can prepare for our interview?

It is common glitch. I had the same thing. No worries. Your interview letter will be correct. Your letter will have details about what to bring to the interview. Congrats!

Some people have that status for weeks to come, some other like me got their change of status (ready to be schedule for an interview) pretty quickly. Don't be alarmed, its' be only 5 days. Some people took much longer than that to see the status changing.
