Did the status change or was the status updated when Biometrics Appointment letter was sent, it is more than 2 weeks since check is cashed and did not receive the Biometrics Appointment letter, NBC processing the case.

Anyone heard of fingerprinting being done at another field office than the official field office (Cleveland),
is it done for my convenience as it is a 1hr vs 2hr drive? Or will my field office become Detroit?
Your field office is where you do your interview. The fingerprints are done at a different location. In my case, I live in Austin, tx and completed my fingerprints at the government office located about 20 min from my place. My field office is San Antonio which is about a 90 min drive for me- that's where my interview will be. Hope this helps.

I've heard some people say an RFIE restarts your priority date and others who say it doesn't. At this point, there doesn't seem to be a clear trend. It would be nice if our status jumped to 'Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview'.

That's great news! Hopefully you don't have to wait too long till your interview is scheduled. What is your field office if you don't mind me asking?

Why do some people seem to receive an email telling "We reviewed your biometrics and are still processing your case" and some don't ?

My case status is stuck to "Case was received" (I130 and I765) or "Fingerprint fee was received" (I485)

Are you employment or marriage based AOS? Or are you marriage based and they've said ready for employment based interview on your notice?

Just curious at the speed, also what's your field office?
Don't forget that all cases sit at the National Benefits Center until the interview has been scheduled. The field office does not play a role before that point. This case got to this point in 33 days. I know of one in Minnesota that got to this point in 29 days. Filed in October 2017 and is still waiting for the interview. So once you get the interview-ready stamp, then sure, those in Cleveland, OH., get scheduled right away and those in Houston, TX or Minneapolis, MN., wait for 14.5 months to 23.5 months. Houston's upper limit might be 32 months which is out of control.
