Looks like a bunch of April filers have received their EADs, which is great news!

Are you a k-1 AOS applicant? Did you mean "between the NBC (National Benefits Center) and the local office"? All of that sounds like a Tier 1 rep guessing what's going on with your case. It really is way too early for your case to be moved to the field office. That does not happen until the field office requests your file to be physically transferred there. Once your case reaches the "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" stage, do not get uber excited. You will be at that stage for a long time while under the jurisdiction of the Minneapolis Field Office. That's just the reality of it.

Most cases under the jurisdiction of the Minneapolis Field Office are taking 14 months, by the way; unless of course, you have a complicated case or your background check is taking a long time because you've lived in 15 countries.

Next time you call, do not waste your time with Tier 1 reps. They can see the same information that you have access to. Ask to be transferred to Tier 2 "because you keep getting conflicting information and you would like them to take a look at your EAD/AP"
In the mean time, you can start applying for jobs. With a job offer in hand, you would be able to place a request to expedite your EAD/AP.

We filed marriage based, came as a tourist, not fianc?e. And we still not received any updates on the USCIS site from 4/27/18 up for today. I received courtesy letter about medical and no updates that fingerprints done or case is ready for interview - just nothing. Also no EAD or AP...
I'm on the stage 'We received your documents on 4/27/18" That is my biggest concern...
We are very waiting for EAD and AP. Not sure who may give me a job offer, I'm not in IT or someone who is on demand... Don't believe that any retail places will be so interesting in me to give me the offer prior I receive EAD... This is truth about life...

Awesome - congrats! Still waiting (im)patiently on EAD/AP my side. The DHS site suddenly this morning shows the interview being ready to be scheduled for the 485 - the update was dated May 29th but only showed up this morning for the first time. I know they were doing system maintenance last night so hopefully that pushed something along!

My travel document was approved today. That was quick, I didn't file it with the I-765 in April but on June 12.
Very excited about that!

My i-765 was approved on 8/17/2018 and my ead card was mailed yesterday, but today my i-131 was denied. Will this denial affect my i-485? I'm under i-94 and im worried that this denial will affect my adjust of status.

It doesn't affect your green card application but until your receive it you are not authorized to travel outside the USA.

That's strange. Does your EAD state "Serves as I-552 advance parole"? That would be on the front, at the bottom.

I don?t know, I haven?t received my EAD card yet In hand, it?s in transit now should be delivered by the end of this week.

I know that green card line is 26 month in MN. I'm concerned I have no updates on the website back from 4/27/18. I had my fingerprints done in May. I called to rep level 1 and he said my background check came cleared, but my docs are going back and force between the NVC and local office. I asked why? He said this is all he is able to see... Does anyone have the same issue? Why local office not accepting the case? Courtesy letter regarding medical received, so no RFE hopefully. And I still not received EAD/AP. That is why I'm so nervous. We bought tickets to Cancun for 1 week resort in late October, so not sure if we be able to go now, as I don't have AP as of yet and no updates on the website. So unfortunately I can't go on with my life yet. I'm not really worried about my green card as I really hope to receive it after our second wedding anniversary and Minnesotas office probably will not be able to make it any sooner anyway.

Fellow Minnesotan! You're in for the long haul. The Minneapolis Field Office is just now interviewing people who filed in 08-2017. There are still people who filed earlier than (March, April, May, June, July) who have not been interviewed yet. Patience is key with the Minneapolis Field Office. The hope for most is that they'll reach their 2nd year of marriage by the their interview is scheduled. If you already have your EAD/AP, just go on with your life, and periodically check on your case.
