  • Notice Was Returned To USCIS

    Hello everyone,

I got this message from USCIS website yesterday " Notice Was Returned To USCIS Because The Post Office Could Not Deliver It..."

I just want to know what that notice could be?? can you tell me based on your experience and taking a look at my timeline what that notice could be?

I filed with a lawyer and I called her about that message from USCIS and she told me that she will take care of it! and she raised an SR for address change and a copy of the notice. " USCIS: We'll review and process your request. expect a reply by June, 6th"

I'm really worried that will delay my case even more since I'm filing from Minnesota.

    Here is my Timeline

So today they updated my last name due to typographic error. I wonder what was the notice they sent that returned. is it possible that it would be the interview notice?

Nah, your lawyer is not telling the truth. Lawyers will avoid performing tasks that do not generate revenue. That phone call can take a good 15 minutes to 30 minutes to get on the phone with a level 1. Then you typically have to wait for a call back from a level 2 - an hour or 2 later. Call yourself and ask.

ATTENTION!!! Same thing happen to me shortly after I did my Biometric, my POBOX zip code adresss was wrong due to typographical error so post office returned the notice. I Raised 3 SR in three month they didn?t resend the notice until I got this idea to speak with level 2 officer, good thing for me it wasn?t notice for interview. Call USCIS correct your address on file plus ask to speak with level 2 officer they have the notice it could be notice for interview; or notice of action stating how your EAD will be process.
