Question regarding out of status

Hi all.

I have a question.
I am in the process of getting a GC. I filed while I was out of status.

Now recently I received my EAD and SSN.
My question is that if I now apply for a job where I need clearance to work at for example the airport, will the entire fact that I am out of status be a Problem?
Not really sure if I am still considered out of status now or not since I received my EAD.

If you were out of status then you are still out of status. Neither having a pending application nor having an EAD gives you status. (Even if you filed while in status, and later your status ended, you would still be now out of status.)

Whether you are or were out of status shouldn't be relevant for getting a job. What matters is that you are allowed to work. But if it's a job that is legally restricted to citizens, then you can't get it.
