  • Advance Parole approved quickly (less than 2 months)

I just wanted to share with the immihelp community my cases about the Advance Parole application and approval after just a short pending time, which was less than two months. This happened in my second application of AP while I-485 were pending. Here's the details:

    My case: employment-based EB3.
    - First received date of I-131 (AP application): 06/01/2017 > I-140, I-485,and I-765 applied concurrently.
    - Denial notice to first AP application: 11/28/2017 > This caused by the departure from US I made once around Aug 2017 for business purpose. As
    - the lawyer said it was pretty usual they denied the AP application if the applicant went outside of US while it was pending.
    - Second received date of I-131 (AP application): 04/10/2018
    - Approval notice and AP received: 05/30/2018 > I had no biometric appointment, RFE and others.

I applied my AP for my daughter (4 yo) at the same time and it was approved even quicker (only 36 days.)

It was really surprising to me because what people said about the timing of AP application was it would take 4-6 months to get approval, (and at the same time a little embarrassing because I cancelled my vacation to Mexico at the end of June paying $3,000 cancellation fee since I though I had no chance to have AP that quickly.)
I have no idea if my case was expedited since it was the second application within the same I-485.
