Hopefully you hear some good news today!!

Question: How long does it take for the information to pop on informed delivery. My status changed yesterday (it has been 24 hrs) and I still have nothing. I purchased something online and the moment I purchased it, it popped on my informed delivery site.

CONGRATS !!! I AM CHECKING MY APP EVERY 2 HOURS .A LITTLE EXCITED TO GET THE UPDATE.LOL . HOPEFULLY WILL GET IT TOMORROW.[/QUOTE]

as far as i have read, you cannot leave country before the ap approval date. It may looked upon as abandoning of your application and you may not be able to re enter. Pls consult an attorney before you make this move .

    Thanks!! I might do that.

I would not risk it, unless it is a life or death situation. In that case you might be able to expedite it. But more experienced filers might be more helpful.

I was planning to not go back to school after I sent my application, but then decided that It is better to graduate sooner than later, the amount of money that I'm going to save is not worth the wait.

But for the OPT I do agree, I will just wait for my work permit (I didn't apply for AP). And this leads to another question... I didn't apply for Advanced Parole, I thought I was not going to need it. Will the EAD card include both a work permit and Advanced Parole, or just work permit, as I only sent the I-765 and not the I-131????

Let's keep hoping and praying for a fast turn out.

    Some things I did:
I put in the request to expedite (09/12) two days later (09/14) the USCIS sent an email saying I have to send in the fax of proof of evidence (I sent in my Job Offer and my RN license since my job offer was contingent on me getting my license).
On 09/14 I also called my congressman who sent in a congressional inquiry the same day. Some people say calling a senator is better, but I called them on 09/20 and they still have not gotten back to me (my senator's office processes their cases before the caseworker starts working with you and it takes alot of time). Per USCFFS's advice I also mailed my proof of evidence just in case they did not receive my fax.

On 09/27 my status changed to "new card is being produced"!

I don't know what helped but I tried everything!! Have a job offer ready just in case USCIS asks you for proof!
Awesome! I am glad you were proactive and tried everything. Maybe it was one thing, or the synergy of all things tried. We may never know!
Thank you for sharing the timeline of everything you did to expedite.

    All the best!

Really? that's amazing. I will try to talk to my advisor again, I told her about my situation and she said NO, UNLESS MY GC IS APPROVED. But I live in Louisiana, every state is different, still will talk to them tomorrow, I'm paying on installments because it is a lot of money that I really don't have an my partner is loaning/donating me.

I don?t think it?s worth it either to spend the extra money for OPT when you can most likely to get the combo card by end of this year.
