You can always go back to the doctor who did you i693 medical package and tell them to redo a new sealed package for you. I used to come back to ask them to change my address and they did a new sealed one for me. I just paid $10 for the doctor to re-do. You can explain to them what happened to you and they will redo for you a new one.

Did you keep copies of your application package and evidence of bona fide marriage evidence? Here's a lesson I live by. When people show you who they are, believe them.
I think you need to get your documents back from your lawyer, as well as your check. There are plenty of organizations that will look through your documents to make sure everything is order.

You know, this may be a blessing in disguise. Take this opportunity to triple check your applications. Come back to the forum and ask questions. And hopefully, this so-called lawyer told you that ALL EVIDENCE OF BONA FIDE MARRIAGE is required at the time of filing. So if you did not send it in, then this your chance to submit a meticulously complete AOS package.
