July 2018 AOS Filers

I just received an update “ready to be scheduled for an interview”. This is the only update I have received since “finger print fee was received”. It took 5 months for this to happen. No EAD or SSN yet. Fingers crossed.

I also just received an update on i765 that my card is being produced. This is day 147. It’s looking like a lovely Christmas for us July filers. It basically took 5 months for us to get EAD.

Traveled on h1b

Hi rrbrooklynite,

I have also traveled on h1b after applied the combo card and I wonder if USCIS would ask for any RFE on this change of i-94. Please let us know if you only receive the EAD instead of the combo card Thank you!

Just now (Literally 6 min Back) I got an update on my phone regarding "New Card Is Being produced" for I-765. No update on I-131.

My Question is , After Applying AOS, I had traveled outside United states on my H1-B, does that mean, I-131(Travel Document) is cancelled and i have to reapply?
and also please let me know if i need to take any precaution for collecting the card, i read in other forum, request USPS to hold the delivery and collect in Person or stuff like this.

Thanks! I appreciate all the great advice and support that you and others provide on this forum on a daily basis. I will definitely use the guidance for the preparation, although my case is employment based (international manager transfer EB1) so I will need to amend my preparation to my specific situation.

I have not officially received confirmation on the field office (interview notice is based on the online account notification, no NOA yet). Based on my zipcode it should be the San Bernardino field office in California. I will update my profile once I receive the NOA.

July filer here, I received the combo card early December and this morning my I-485 got updated to 'interview scheduled'.
Xmas-time for July filers :-)

Congrats! May I ask when did you file in July? Early or later Mid?
I filed on august 2nd, and my field office as i checked based on zipcode will also be San Bernadino.
Please share when you get the interview. I am waiting for the combo card, but still no sign yet 😭

My case was filed on Jul 18th and I had confirmation of case received on July 24th.

You're welcome! Glad to be of assistance. The San Bernardino, CA Field office has historically been fast. They no longer accept walk-ins or even make infopass appointments unless you have some sort of emergency. So that should make it even faster now.

Are you aware of any specific threads that deal with employment based interview preparation?
Most cases on the forum are geared towards family based cases.

Specifically I am interested to learn to what extent evidence for dependent relationships are needed for employment based cases.
