I am a dependent on my husband's employment based application. Our medical exam is scheduled for early September. That was the soonest available appointment.
I am hoping to become pregnant. I'd rather not delay starting our family because of the MMR vaccine, which isn't safe during or immediately before becoming pregnant. I received the MMR vaccine in 1990 and a booster in 2010. I have all my records from the public health department back home.
Is "planning a pregnancy" sufficient reason to skip the MMR vaccine? Potentially I could be pregnant, but not yet detectable, at the time of the medical exam.
