Case is ready to scheduled for an interview

Hello all, this might be a dumb question but is ?case is ready to be scheduled an interview? the same as ?interview scheduled?? I have received a status update stating my case is ready to be scheduled an interview on August 15 but has not received any notice letter yet. Will there be another case update when my interview date is scheduled? I was told by my lawyer that the interview notice letter will come 3 weeks before the actual date. I just want to make sure I don?t miss the interview date.

Case ready to be scheduled for interview does not mean you have an interview date. You could be scheduled for an interview any moment from now to a year depending on how fast your field office is.

Hang in there and be patient. It may be a long time from now until it is actually scheduled for an interview. Mine was "Ready to be Scheduled" in October of last year and hasn't changed yet.

Case ready to be scheduled for interview does not mean you have an interview date. You could be scheduled for an interview any moment from now to a year depending on how fast your field office is.

Thanks for the prompt reply! Should I call USCIS regularly to ask for the interview date or will I receive a notification when the interview date is scheduled?
