  • I-485, question about A-number

    Hello everyone,
I have a question about I-485 form. My wife, she is F-2 visa and doesn't have A-number. For I-485 form, should I just leave her A-number blank or?
I cannot find any instructions for this situation on USCIS website.

    Thanks for your helping.

I left it blank, but after we received I-797C Notice it has A number and a case number. We filed EAD/AP a year after we file AOS and then we used new A number from I-797C

I had no A number to put on I 485.
A number came with notice of receipt of case about 2 weeks after submitting documents

      I hope this helps

If she hasn't applied for immigration before, put "none"

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

So, should I just write "none" on it? because the PDF file is only accept numbers in it.

Thank you for your help, I would just leave it blank. Hope USCIS won't deny it.

They definitely won't deny it for the A-number don't worry. I filled out the USCIS# on my F1 OPT EAD originally, but then I found out they assigned me a different A-number.. but no big deal, they'll correct it at the interview.
