I know how you?re feeling regarding crooked lawyer. I filed AOD for my parents, Who are here in the United States on tourist visa, and my lawyer did not attached a birth certificate that proves that I am related to my parents. I paid a ridiculous amount of money for his service and feel completely ripped off. We filed on August 15 and got our biometrics done and received RFIE. I was shocked and pissed off! Still I?m...The NBC received the RFIE And updated status on 9/19/18. Hopefully all is good and we will get our EAD soon. Good luck to you my friend!!

I figured something when I updated my address for both forms 130 and 485 mid Aug that same e-mail said "we updated your address for I-130 and we also approved your case" so I wondered if it was forgotten then now the "change of address" triggered it. I received a confirmation for I130 but not I485 so what I did since I sent my RFIE they did not updated that they received it I changed my address again the next day "we received your RFIE" then the updated address change. That's my theory.
