  • Chicago Lockbox. Why is USCIS not picking it up?

I?ve sent my packet with USPS Priority 2-Day Mail and was scheduled to be delivered on Sept 24. The tracking is stuck in ?September 24, 3am - Your package arrived at the Post Office in Chicago 60604?. I called USPS yesterday and they said that USCIS has to come to the Post Office and pick up the mail, which is when it will be scanned as Delivered.

So if the package arrived Monday, why is it still not picked up by today, Wednesday? Do they pick up their mail daily? If so, maybe the Post Office misplaced my package? I appreciate any insight and experience with the Lockbox others may have.

PS: if you haven?t mailed your package yet, do yourself a service and use another carrier that delivers straight to USCIS offices.
RoC (I-751) Application, filed from Houston TX
10/24/2021 - USPS delivered the package in AZ
10/27/2021 - Text from USCIS with receipt number, check cashed. Assigned to the Texas Processing Center

INITIAL AOS from F-1, married to USC, filed in Seattle WA

09/24/2018 - Package delivered to PO Box (PD)
    10/22 - Early bio walk-in
11/15 - New card is being produced (I-765)
    11/26 - EAD combo & SS card
    01/13/2020 - Interview
01/23/2020 - Case Approved, Card Mailed.

Damn, that's not very encouraging. I hope I'll get the notifications sooner than that. I think I read on this forum that if you don't receive anything from USCIS after a certain amount of time, you can call and ask them to look into it.

Also, side question: what is considered the PD? The date my package was delivered to USPS or the date they actually process my package and send out the NOAs?

I hate to be the bearer or bad news but you have to be patient.
This is only the first step of many many more steps where each of them require patience and long waits.
USCIS is dreadfully slow in updating things in their systems, it took a week after my mail got delivered and another week before i got the paper notices.
This is my opinion, not legal advice!

I called and they asked to wait 3 weeks.
