  • (Important) discrepancy between egov/customer service and dhs websites

I know that the two websites are not always updated at the same time. However, for important updates, they usually match after maximum a couple of days.

A bit less than a week ago I received an update on dhs website saying that the interview was scheduled. But as of today, I have received no notice in the mail and the egov website is still stuck at biometrics.

I contacted customer service and they doesn't see any scheduled date on their end. The representative said that it may not be finalized or the field office hasn't updated some information, but she didn't really know what to tell me.

I am freaking out a bit since we don't want to miss the interview and, if we actually have the interview sometime next month, we have to make several plan changes as soon as possible (next month would be way earlier than expected).

Anyone had a similar situation? Is this some kind of glitch?

Interviews are scheduled 4 to 6 weeks in advance. The system did glitch out earlier this year. I would just start preparing for it. You might find useful resources on this thread to prepare for your interview. https://www.immihelp.com/forum/showt...737#post582737

We will definitely start to prepare for it.

I just wished we knew what is going on with the case status system and why the representative couldn't find any trace of this "scheduled interview"

Sometimes the status update notification goes out way ahead of the system updating. That happened when we got the "New Card is being produced" update. We called because we wanted to make sure that the AP would be approved, as well. The rep couldn't see anything. He said the notification had gone out too early. It might take a few days before they're able to see it, and a week or so before you get your interview notice.
