Spouse in jail

Im so sad right now. I'm married to a USC and my husband got arrested 6 months after our marriage and was sent to jail.we never saw that coming and never prepared for such. My AOS interview is in few weeks and i don't know what to do. We have very few pictures together since the marriage is young,i have pictures with his family members,insurance togethers, lease,fiked taxes,joint credit cards,letters from his family that we are genuinely married,reciepts of care packs and letters we sent to each other in jail. I called uscis if i can appear without him and i was told i can but I'm scared the circumstances surrounding it might make it tough for me..pls advice.anyone being in that position. Thank you

I will advice you get an attorney to go with you if you have not done that before, that will ease make things easier for you.

How long is he in jail for? Maybe get a Lawyer to reschedule until he gets out.

You can appear without him but it is likely decision will not be made until he gets out of jail. Take every thing you have including proof he is in jail and how long he will be there. The uscis can waive the requirement that the spouse appears at interview but it is very rare as far as i know.
