My case, in principle, should be pretty straightforward: my wife is a US citizen and I was in an H1-B when I filed my AOS. Back in December 2017 I filed the I-130, I-485, I-765 and I-131. I got my receipts pretty quickly, all with MSC numbers. I went for the fingerprints on February 2018 and got my EAD (without Advance Parole) around April 2018. The I-485 changed to "Ready to be scheduled..." mid March 2018. Things have been pretty slow since then. Actually, there has been no movement. Not even RFEs.
I moved from Texas to Indiana a few weeks ago and filed my AR-11. I received a letter from USCIS confirming the change of address last week. I also filed to renew my EAD a few weeks ago and received a 797C for it.
A while back, around July or August I had contacted my congressman in Texas. They got back to me several months later saying that everything was within processing time, even though my I-130 was already outside of processing time (although I didn't know it at the time). In November 2018 I submitted a service request for the I-131, which is out of processing time by a lot, but received no answer after 60 days. Last week I called USCIS and they connected me to an officer, but she couldn't find any information about why my AP was taking so long. All she did was escalate the service request. Last week I submitted a request for help with a federal agency with my congressman (snail mail), but haven't heard from his office.
All of the above info is pretty clear to me, but I have some questions regarding the difference in processing times for the I-485 and I-130 and with the office where my case is being processed. The Receipt date for a case inquiry for the I-130 in the Nebraska Service Center, as of today, is May 11, 2018. First, is this the correct service center for my case? And second, does this mean that I should submit an SR for that form in particular? Does the I-130 need to be processed before AOS takes place?
Thanks in advance for your help.
