We sent our forms last week and today we received a messaging showing they were received and we were issued an I-797 for our AOS form (we have not received it yet since the notice was just sent today). I read that he should get a new I-94 along with the I-797 showing that he is an AOS applicant. However when I check his I-94 online it still says his old "Admit Until:" date. Should I be worried? Does this get updated eventually or do we just need to wait for the new I-94 and use that?

The I94 site will not change. You may get a new I94 with some visa/status applications. I don't think you get an I94 with I-485 AOS.Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
Day 1 - Package received at the lockbox
Day 999 - Card delivered to me - Aug 2021

Status change
It's a marriage based application so we sent form I-130, I-130a as well as the employment and income forms. I thought that once they received the case his status would change so that he was not longer overstaying his non-immigrant visa. Is that not the case? Will he just have to overstay until they approve the application?Originally posted by Enub4 View PostThe I94 site will not change. You may get a new I94 with some visa/status applications. I think they are different things. Now the status is AOS until they approve GC.
Don't worry about the over-staying, people with many years are able to get GC without issues.Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
