Who had encountered using their ead for renewing his/her drivers license?
My story goes like this, i was expecting a drivers lic validty will follow my ead's expiration date.
To my surprise, the lady from dmv gave a 5 years dlicense.
Any significance to my pending application (i-485,adjustment of status)?.
    Thanks for your help

What state, which office? Usually it is for one year or until your EAD expires. Well, enjoy it.

Looks like she made a mistake to your benefit. Now you will not have to pay renewal fees when your EAD expires and then your 2 year green card renewal fee.... Win Win

I encountered the opposite, my visa expire in 2.5 years but they said that DHS only approved my legal status for 1 year, so I got a 1 year license.

Maybe I will get my EAD in May, so next year they may renew it for only 3 months!
