These days INS trend is sending RFE's for almost all cases.
So if during that they discover change then they might transfer.
But there is no hard & fast rule. Lets wait & watch.

Since your case is also approaching, I would suggest that you atleast be on payroll of a company who can give you employment letter in same skill set.

Per my understanding you can do anything on your EAD.
(I didn't get 1099 thing ??) but keep urself on roll with someone.

Called INS to check status of my wife's case.
IIO said the file is pending.

In my case last IIO said, the case is with officer?

1099 means contract. I have to pay all taxes. Got appt with lawyer on monday. will let u know.as per rupnet only rfe s are increasing. no approvals.

Status

Called INS on Friday.
IIO first said .. no progress as of now.

I asked if I should renew my AP. She said that I must because it's going to take long time before the cases will be adjudicated. When I asked abt the tentative date,she replied it won't be anywhere in near future.

When asked abt file status, she said file was assigned to officer in last week of Dec.

I am going ahead & renewing AP doc's for my family.
Enough of wait....

I have couple of relatives who got green card lottery last year and now they are already in US with Green Card (less than a year)... and people like us who pays tax have to go through all these sh!t .... where the is fairness.... If you stay illegally, gov't gives you Green card... if you get lottery, you get Green Card.... and people like us...... gov't treat us like sh!t.... This is what FREE MARKET ECONOMY is all about... money.. money and money.... we are paying taxes and gov't does not give a damn..... if you stay illegally, gov't is not getting any taxes.. so gov't gives Green card

freeze- not yet lifted in NSC

One of my friend talked to IIO in NSC and according to him "FREEZE" has not been lifted as of today.... he said NSC will start issuing soon (did not give date) .... NSC is waiting for order from UNCLE SAM......
