  • angry immigration officer--should i complain?

My wife and I applied for a marriage visa. We went to the interview and was shocked at the behavior of the officer. He yelled at us from the very beginning. He asked for certain documents which I didn't have. I tried to explain the reason why and he immediately started yelling at us again. When he asked me some dates I got them wrong as I was so frazzled. I then tried to correct the answers. Not sure which dates he put in the computer.

He requested further documentation to be mailed to the office...and now we found out we have to go to a second (fraud) interview.

Should I file a complaint? Request a new officer to handle our case?

Yeah you should request a new officer. As long as your able to get that extra documentation together, you should be fine.

Did you consider talking to a lawyer about it?
