How long after marrying an US Citizen?

I got married to as US Citizen on Nov 1, 2007. We are going to apply for my Green Card next week. How long does it take to become a Permanent Resident after the Petition and my Adjustment of Status Application?

Depends on several factors, such as the work load of you local USCIS office, the current amount of applications sent (due to a fee increase in July), whether you get stuck in name check with the FBI or not, whether you fail to send all of the evidence required or not.

But basically, you are looking at 4-8 months.

I hope that you have EAD within 3-months and GC in 6-months, all depends upon current backlog.
