  • H1B/EAD

    RD-Nov-5th,ND-12/6. I have crossed 180 days and
planning to join my Client. My Current employer has no
problem in joining with client. But my Client is
applying H1B for safety purpose and they are asking me
to join on H1B.I have my EAD and AP also. I have no
idea which one to use. Can you suggest me that on
which one i have to use.Either EAD or New H1B which
they are going to apply and i have to wait till they
get the Receipt.I also want to make sure if i join
with client on H1B will it affect my GC?
    Your reply is greatly appreciated.

    Anything

If you use H-1, it will not affect your GC.

Another aspect is the time left on H-1. If you have sufficient time, it is better to use H-1 as in case 485 is denied, you can continue working on H-1. If you used EAD, your H-1 is invalid, and you will be out of status on denial.

If you don't have much time, just tell them that you already have EAD, and they don't need to spend on H-1. If the client is willing to pay for the H-1, that's fine.
