Company closing, GC near ending, EAD?

Hi Guys,
Please Help, its a "Real" deal.

My GC could be out within a Month(My ND was Oct,1). Three months ago I moved from H1 to EAD, and now my company is closing.

1- Can I just show my EAD to a new employer and then continue working?
1a- if yes, within how many days do I have to get on a new Job, while on EAD?
1b- if no, Do I have to leave country and get another H1 from a new employer?

2- a friend told me that to keep my GC status, I might move to B1 first and then reapply for H1 with a new company? Do we need to do this?

Any suggestions!

I just called to IIO and checked with them!

RD: 9/27
ND:10/1
EAD: 12/20
FP: 2/18

Couple of things I wish people be more helpful in this immihelp forum, as you can see, though simple my last concerns were vaguely answered.
