485 got rejected

My 130 got approved and 485 got denied due to Missing Birth Certificate. I filed a motion. What if i want to travel abroad? My current AP expires IN Aug. I have applied for NEW AP. Would it be a problem if i travel and come back to US?

was the motion approved? unless if has been approved, your i-485 is still denied and your AP is not valid. If you leave, you can not re-enter using AP.

Thx for the response. I jsut filed it last week. Have not heard from them yet. Do you have any idea how long it takes for USCIS to reopen motion.

Anywhere from 3-6 months. Did you use a lawyer to file the motion? either way, for the mean time... your AP is not valid.

yes, I spoke to my lawyer. He said i could refile the motion by myself. Also he said i could work until my EAD expires unless they reject my Motion. How would i know they are re opening my file?. They have not sent any letter regarding the same. I took infopass and hand delivered the motion, they Just stamped they received the motion. I only have photo copies of those.

You can't work, you can't use AP. Your AOS is denied, that makes your AP and EAD invalid.
