I am an F-1 student on OPT. When I applied the EAD card for my OPT earlier this year, I filed my place of birth as A. Now I'm applying for another EAD with the petition for I-485 through my husband. I noticed that my place of birth on paper is actually B (I never knew this before I saw the document, we don't have birth certificates in my country, and the document that shows Place of Birth is not often used).
Actually, B is part of A County, so I always put A as my Place of Birth. Now it has caused the problem: if I put still put A on the I-485 and new EAD application, it would be different than the place on my "birth certificate" document; if I put B as listed on the "birth certificate", it would be different than the place on my previouse EAD application.
What should I do in this case? Would different birth places affect my EAD and Green Card application?
Thanks a lot!
