  • interview coming soon and need help

    Hi everybody ,
Our interview is coming soon , the only problem is that my husband income is lower than 2 year ago when we filled out our application.
my question is do we need a sponsor for our interview or no?
thank you so much for your help .

IMO, the worst that could happen is that at the interview when you present updated tax transcripts they may put two and two together and figure out that your income has been reduced, or they may ask you if there have been any changes in your employment. If asked, you must be truthful. If you need a cosponser, but do not have one at the time of the interview, they may send you an RFE for that information, which could delay your case. Either way, as long as you can meet the requirement by yourself or with a cosponser, you should be approved eventually. Good luck!

Thry only want to make sure that he is making enough according to their chart. It doesn't have to be more or equal to 2 years ago, but it does not need to be over the minimum.

Junkmart yes that is exactly what i thought .. My husband is self employee and last year wasnt a good one .. And he doesnt meet the requirement .. So i think the best is to get a joint sponsor just in case they ask for one .
thanks to all for your responses!

Just a little update , we had our interview , it went so well that the officer didnt look at any of our evidence (my husband and i are married since 4 years we have a 3 years old girl and expecting another one)
he just asks us what take us so long (we start the process in nov 2016) i told him i thought we were suppose to send the i 130 first get the approval then send the i 485 .
he approved us on the spot and received my green card 4 days after..
                Good luck to everybody !
