Hi my process has been so looooooong!!! My dad is a Permanent Resident thanks to Ronald Reagan!!! My dad decided to filled a application when I was 13yrs old November 1996 pd. Because my dad is a Permanet Resident it will take 7yrs to adjust status. So when I was 20yrs old. My pd was current. And I can adjust status. So I was gathering all w2 and everything had my physical. When I went to see my lawyer he told me that I was about to turn 21 I had to wait like 19yrs.to get my green card Because I now consider F2b category Mexico .
So all the years went by thankfully I had a ead and social security. I got it when I was 13yrs old. Then every 2yrs I had to renew it.. So since 1996 till now I have renew 11 ead...cards.
So in 2017 November my pd was current so I can adjust status in the USA.
I did in February 26 2018!! I was happy excited finally..????
Then after that I went in April biometrics then in July I got Rfe saying that they neded my birth certificate again. I send it then my ead was about to expired. Then in August I received my new Ead adjust status now for only 1yr expiration I was excited I told my lawyer so it going to been in a year when I get my green card.. she's like well some people renew it twice.. So I was like ????
Then on couple of days my status said it was ready for interview it took 7 months when my status changed to Interview has been schedule it was March 29 a Friday. I received the letter it took a week.. I was happy...
My interview was May 3, 2019
So for a whole month I gathering all my papers and everything that said in the interview to bring. Days before interview I could not sleep. Thinking off things that can happen on the way for my interview I lived 1hr 50 min from Irving Texas. Flat tired etc.. what if I lose my driver licensed or my interview paper...
The day came I was happy my dad had to come with me for the interview it ask for petitioner and applicant.
My interview was at 11:15 so I left at 6:50 a.m in the morning. When we were waiting for the interview I had my big binder of all my papers. So we waited like 25 minutes before we call in by the OF a women. She was really nice. She took my pic and fingerprints. She told me and my dad to put all of identification on her desk. She ask us to to stand and say the Oat. Promise to said the truth. She started with all my information my name ,birth, address all my info then ask my parents name. After that we went to the the questions for adjust status ask me to said yes or no. She ask all of them. After that she ask me what documents I had!! In my head I was like I have a lot of documents with me. So I told her I had my w2 my employee letter my dad and my sponsor w2 of this year. Then I told her I had my physical exam with me. So because i been in the usa since 1984 she wanted proof like my school records so nowhere in the interview letter said to bring that. Thankfully I had them with me. After the interview she ask me if I had any questions. I told her if she had everything for my case she said I think I do.. She told me that in a week I would received a letter.
I never did check my status everyday and my mailbox. Everyone that went before me it took 2weeks and they had gc.
After a month I received a on my case tracker app yesterday finally my case has been approved May 31!! ????????So happy I call my dad and mom.. finally after 22yrs. I will received my gc soon.... thank you jesus!! I'm 35 now....
