My girlfriend and I want to get married, but we have only been together for three months. Her visa is about to expire, so we can't wait if we are going to do it. Does that look bad that we're getting married after a short time and her visa is up? And what if she has to overstay while we wait for the interview?

I'm sure you love her a lot but getting married after 3 months just for the visa/gc may not be the best thing to do.
Perhaps you can visit her in her country? Or she can visit here again?
See how you guys feel then and then consider getting married?

Perhaps it's love at first sight and you know right away.
As long as she entered the country legally, you can adjust for status, even if she overstayed.
Once you start the paperwork, she's allowed to wait in the country until the interview, that's not considered overstaying.
This is my opinion, not legal advice!

I dated my wife for 6 months before getting married and I submitted my i 485 application after 4 months of marriage. Regardless the situation if the marriage isn’t older than 2 years you’ll be getting a temporary 2 year greencard and then you get the 10 year. And if she’s already here i would suggest to submit the application and just wait it off because it takes longer when it’s overseas. Unless she gets in trouble with the law she’ll be fine but it would be hard to find a job and stuff. Just make sure you guys submit strong evidence to compensate the little time you've been together for. Thats my advice, good luck!

Are you a US citizen? Overstay won't matter for her Adjustment of Status no matter if she overstays before or after filing.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
